In this course, you will learn the basics of beekeeping from hobby and small scale beekeeping expert Eliese Watson of ABC Bees. Throughout this 4-week course, students explore key management principles for honey bee colonies in the prairies. Whether you are already maintaining hives, or are just getting started. This course provides in-depth information to ensure sustainable and self-sufficient honey bee colonies. Topics explored include honey bee biology, nutritional requirements, seasonal and integrated pest management.
