« back to classes page

Hollow core kilncasting provides a special opportunity to alter the interior space of an object –lending way to layering form and creating depth, both visually and conceptually. In this class, students will learn to make simple core molds for creating the forms that express their ideas. Demonstrations will include mold-making, modeling with plaster and clay and making silicone molds. Use of clear versus colored glass, firing, and basic coldworking including grinding and polishing will be reviewed.
