This course will provide knowledge of fitness and wellness to address a significant gap in supporting older adult fitness/wellness. Focus on understanding the impact of aging and fitness on the individual, learn concepts of appropriate fitness and how to utilize them in your professional role, and gain the confidence to support aging adults.

Topics will include:
* Concepts and approaches to teaching older adults fitness
* Practical assessment
* Special condition considerations
* Fall prevention strategies
* Fusion chair and physical culture syllabus
* Building and adapting lesson plans
* Developing confidence
* Mentorship and networking
